Project 3 Mobility is looking for a highly creative CGI artist with circa 10 years of industry experience in automotive or a similar field. This candidate should have a broad range of software skills and enjoy being hands on within a small team. We are looking for someone to define the workflow methods, set the standard of our visual identity both internally and externally, and define the creative look and feel of our still and animations. We want this person's work to create a big impact and wow our management and external partners. This role gives the right candidate the creative license and opportunity to work independently and set the bar.

Some leadership or management experience is preferred as this role will involve guiding other team members and planning the work tasks for the department.

REGULAR TASKS

  • Keeping files up to date with latest CAD. Filling missing parts where necessary
  • Define the standard for presentations, stills & animations
  • Build and maintain a materials library
  • Support the CMF department by creating material shaders & providing basic Vred files
  • Define the environments, camera angles and lighting setups
  • Creating realistic renderings for internal meetings, presentations, press releases etc.
  • Post process images for perfect look and feel
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with designers, CMF, UX/UI, Marketing
  • Creation of technical illustrations and sections of parts / assembles


AUTHORITIES

Decision-making authorities

  • Define the workflow & processes
  • Define HDRIs, lighting, and environments

Managerial authorities  

  • Co-ordinate tasks for the team. Planning priorities
  • Escalating issues and budget requirements
  • Planning team training, software & hardware requirements


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of files for presentations and support of reviews
  • Inspiring and accurate visualizations
  • Content of imagery correct and up to date
  • Easy to find assets and libraries maintained
  • Align all content to latest decisions


REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Competent in a range of software to deliver high quality images
  • Such as Maya, 3DS Max, Vred, UnReal Engine, Vray
  • Knowledge of Alias and Adobe programmes are useful
  • An interest in photography and creating HDRIs are useful
  • An eye for composition, best angles, and lighting
