Project 3 Mobility is looking for a Data and Reporting Lead in charge of overseeing the team that develops and maintains the highest levels of data competency, accuracy standards and reporting capacity across the Institute. The Lead develops a strategy for leveraging data to gain a deeper insight into the Project 3 Mobility business. The individual builds a vision on how data and metrics can support Project 3 Mobility's song term strategy and enhance Project 3 Mobility's internal operations. The Lead champions and promotes best practices in data management for the full term of the data life cycle.

REGULAR TASKS 

  • Rationalise, align, and enhance Project 3 Mobility management data & reporting, to help the operations of the business of Project 3 Mobility  

  • Direct and manage a team of Analysts to perform the periodic update process for the Project 3 Mobility management information data base 

  • Direct and manage a team of Analysts to prepare and distribute periodic and ad-hoc analysis as required by management 

  • Manage the team and related partners in improvements to content, process, efficiency, and toolset as the business and technology evolution requires 

  • Manage the team’s skill set and training required to perform and meet requirements 

  • Develop highly collaborative relationships with key members of the Project 3 Mobility organization 

  • Build the foundation for development and improvement efforts by capturing the business context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups 

  • Play a critical communications role by interacting with project team members, SMEs, end users and sponsors 

  • Ability to navigate the Project 3 Mobility team and business sponsors through a level of ambiguity including business process change; building the data organisation and to structure requirements to drive out and define deliverables in an efficient manner

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Direct supervision of a team of analysts, and all personnel requirements that entails 

  • Is expected to act independently to deliver and manage requirements and is self-driven and motivated.  Requires minimal supervision, and knows when to engage direct management  

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills. Proficient at absorbing large volumes of complex information, and presenting it in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management 

  • Strong team management skills 

  • Excellent business performance management skills. Ability to deploy and manage resources, to achieve/exceed objectives in a dynamic operating environment 

  • Comfortable dealing with all types and levels of stakeholders and team members to understand and accomplish objectives 

  • Strong understanding of, and comfort with, data base environments 

  • Strong MS-Office skills, including Excel, Word, Access, Visio and PowerPoint 

  • Strong BI tool experience and knowledge (Power BI preferred) 

  • Ability to learn, understand, and deploy new reporting and analysis tools 

  • Experience in selecting and executing elicitation techniques such as Interviews, Exploratory Prototypes, Facilitated Workshops, Focus Groups, Observation, User Task Analysis, Documentation Study and Surveys and overall Process Re-engineering 

  • Experience of relationships with senior customer staff 

  • Strong mediation  skills, and ability to deal with and resolve conflict and gain consensus 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management 

  • Ability to effectively communicate both in person and remotely to accomplish objectives

SENIORITY LEVEL 

  • 7+ years in a corporate IT or management information  environment 

  • 5+ years experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or related field
