Project 3 Mobility is looking for an External Logistics Operations Lead who would work within the Logistics & Supply Chain Department, to develop and implement P3’s Inbound Supply Chain and Material Control methodology, processes, and systems. The ideal person would have 5+ years of relevant experience in the automotive / manufacturing industry who has been responsible for Inbound parts supply including the Inbound Transportation. The person must be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to supplier engagement to ensure delivery targets are consistently met. The candidate must be able to define and implement the necessary supplier / parts monitoring processes and systems to ensure the delivery schedules are always achieved. The person would be working directly for the Head of Logistics & Supply Chain, and will be instrumental in establishing the Operational structure, and robust working methods that are needed to make P3 a successful manufacturer. The person will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of P3’s ERP “Ordering System” and the successful integration to P3’s Tier 1 suppliers. A high emphasis will be placed on the robust and timely monitoring of Supplier performance of their On-Time adherence to their Parts Schedules as this is a key component for a “smooth” parts Supply Chain and the avoidance of disruption to the Production Areas of the business. Where failure to Schedules have occurred, the candidate is expected to swiftly contain the failure and go on to fully countermeasure the root cause of the issue. Therefore, we are looking for an organized, structured, and analytical individual with great inter-personal skills.
The External Logistics Operations Lead needs a deep understand international supply chains and transportation operations to be able to bring the “best in class” solutions to P3’s Inbound parts supply. The Person will have to coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders. The person must demonstrate technical and commercial acumen with experience of negotiating with and the managing of Logistic Service providers to ensure “Best Service” is always provided. The role requires strong Project management in the planning and successful execution of Tactical goals during the Pre-Production Stages of the programme. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must. The location of the role is in the UK with regular travel to Croatia is expected.
