  • Creation and ongoing development of a class leading supplier risk management methodology and model to evaluate all suppliers for changes in their risk profile and flag up for further investigation.
  • Ownership and delivery of the timetable to evaluate and report on a monthly basis all risk management activities with the P3 business including those suppliers highlighted through the risk management model.
  • Create a comprehensive standard process flow for evaluating a supplier's risk profile including establishing all reliable internal and external data and information sources.
  • Working closely with the procurement function to include a rigorous due diligence step for each supplier involved in nomination or tendering activities. 
  • Creation of a standard suite of processes, documents and counter measures relating to any potential future risk event within the supply chain.
  • Highlighting to the P3 business the key risks in the supply chain, how these are being managed and the potential risks which could impact in the near future.
  • Managing the P3 response to any risk event which may impact the supply chain or wider P3 business including progress reporting to the senior management.
  • To manage one supplier risk analyst (from 2023) including recruitment, managing activities and output as well as holding regular one to ones and the annual appraisal.
  • and other tasks as assigned by a line manager



Decision-making authorities

  • Proposals should be structured through the relevant forums for approvals to be signed off.

Managerial authorities

  • Management of one vehicle cost analyst including ensuring personal development, regular one-to-ones, and appraisals.


  • Ownership for the timetable for evaluating, reporting & governing supplier risk activities with the P3 business.
  • Ownership for the supplier risk management model and its ongoing continual improvement.
  • Removing or minimizing the risk of disruption in the supply chain or to the production timetable.
  • Ensuring that good governance of supplier selection and ongoing relationships is promoted and maintained within the P3 procurement functions.
  • Being the prime point of contact with any and all supplier risk related issues and making sure that all issues are addressed, and counter measures put in place.
  • Management for one supplier risk analyst as above.


  • Experienced in risk management activities ideally within automotive.
  • Experience in model building using Excel but also utilizing multiple external sources of data and information.  
  • Strategic thinking and ability to articulate the long-term risks to the business.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering continual improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a “Startup” business is desirable
  • Solid understanding of automotive vehicle attributes is desirable.
